2025 Fall Round Table Event Chicago, IL

Thirty-seven Information Technology leaders from AEC firms across the country gathered in Chicago, Illinois on October 16–17, 2025, to discuss current and emerging technology and business trends.  Security was a central theme throughout the roundtable. 

• Katherine ‘Butch’ Jerinic and Christy Bonstell, Facilitators for Second City Works opened the event with an entertaining and informative program for leadership education based on improvisation methods developed through Second City and the University of Chicago.

• Ken Smith, Director of Enterprise Sales Engineering for Arctic Wolf presented their take on cybersecurity education.

• Brendan Ginty and Todd Marks of Sophos shared their vision on the state of ransomware in 2025.

• Chritopher Walcutt, Chief Security Officer of Direct Defense shared his insight of all security functions across the AEC space through a question-and-answer session.
