2024 Fall Round Table Event Philadelphia, PA

Thirty-two Information Technology leaders from AEC firms across the country met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 24 - 25, 2024 to discuss current and future technology/business trends.  Innovative design was a major focus of the roundtable.

• Reg Prentice and Deb Johnston of TonicDM presented the company’s current development, features and values to the group.  He elaborated on PIM needs and where AI might drive some of their development.

• Mark Dietrick Director of Services of Case Technologies introduced the company’s technology expertise in the computing and capturing space.  The Volterra Italy digital preservation project with Autodesk was featured.

• AECIT Leader member Bob Rayes presented the Innovation Design Consortium (IDC) to the roundtable.  Their was a discussion of the initiatives in development and methods to participate by other firms.

• Members Markus Weidner, Jim Dray, Bill Carney, Bob Rayes, James Chambers participated in an Innovation Panel.  They explained to the group what their definitions of innovation and what paths are being used to do development and fund those priorities.

• The group toured the Comcast Technology Center to see what new technologies like AI are doing to help Comcast with their customer needs.  Dinner at Condesa followed

• James Chambers CEO of Bluebeam discussed where the company is after its acquisition by Nemetshek and what the roadmap is for 2025.  Members gave feedback on what items they would like to see addressed.
